- Tend to your roses
- Make sure there is a good mulch around your roses
- Spray for black spot - Remove dead growth from lavender and daisy plants.
- Pot up the cuttings for new plants. - Fertilize those plants you want to look especially nice on Valentine's day e.g agapanthas and roses.
- Deadhead plants that flowered when you were away.
- Prune trees that need it after all the rain we received during December.

5 Things to do in your garden in January
It is a new year and we all had newyear's resolutions to whip our gardens into shape. So how about committing to a monthly garden activity schedule? I will be posting some ideas every month to get you started.

Any advice for New Guinea Impatiens? I have mulched, composted, fed with seaweed - they are sitting in a bed of peat moss in their roots... but still look so small - or am I being impatient...? Great Blog by the way, well done...
